Meet Monika Kramlik, the illustrious Double-Bubble Girl from this winter’s Stuck on You.
Despite her humble insistence that there’s no way we could know her on-screen appearances, Monika Kramlik isn’t a face that’s easily forgotten—especially if you saw her on CSI playing a character called Honey Girl. “It was at this Miami nightclub,” she explains. “I danced in a bikini, covered in honey. It’s a really cool scene.” Yeah, you could say that.
Born and raised in Budapest, Hungary, Kramlik started modeling at the late age of 19, traveling to Milan, Tokyo, and Paris before settling in Miami. Like any actor, she started her career by…buying TV dinners? “I met one of the producers of Any Given Sunday in a grocery-store parking lot, and he asked if I’d like to go see Oliver Stone,” she recalls. Before she knew it, she was playing LL Cool J’s girlfriend. Between modeling jobs, Kramlik kept auditioning, landing a few commercials and a role in the 2002 comedy Snow Dogs.
But her favorite gig is the Farrelly brothers’ Stuck on You, in which she plays Double-Bubble Girl. “It’s a small part,” she admits, “but it was great working with amazing actors like Matt [Damon] and Greg [Kinnear], and the Farrellys were really great. And Meryl Streep is my favorite actress.” So in a love triangle with Damon and Kinnear, who would she pick? “In real life? I would choose Greg,” Kramlik says. Really? “Matt’s amazing, too, but I spent much more time with Greg,” she says. “Matt and I partied a lot, but Matt is more of a star and is probably scared of why someone is loving him, even as a friend. Greg I could call a friend.”
